Our Story

I was terrified. Terrified that my kids would become part of the staggering statistics of young adults struggling, not just in careers, but in life. Too many lack the motivation, organization, and problem-solving skills needed to build a stable, independent future. Schools focus on academics, yet leave out essential lessons—financial literacy, critical thinking, and self-sufficiency.

The numbers are scary: 6 out of 10 employers have already fired Gen Z workers fresh out of college, and 75% of companies say recent graduates are unsatisfactory hires. Yes, every generation struggles to transition into adulthood, but this is different. Employers report many young workers struggle with professionalism, organization, and communication. The bottom line is kids today aren’t prepared - and for me, time was slipping away.

With high school fast approaching for our 8th grader and flying by for our 10th grader, I knew we had to act. Like many parents, we worried—do they have the skills to thrive, not just in a job, but in life? Can they manage a household, make informed financial decisions, or even start their own business? Success isn’t just about landing a job; it’s about knowing how to navigate adulthood with confidence. Traditional education isn’t providing that foundation, so we decided to take matters into our own hands.

That’s why we created IntelliGen. More than just lessons, it’s a streamlined, practical approach to learning life skills—quick, engaging, and designed to spark curiosity and conversation. From budgeting to entrepreneurship, self-care to negotiation skills, each lesson builds real-world competence and confidence. We wanted more than grades on a report card; we needed our kids to be prepared, empowered, and ready to take on the world. IntelliGen is designed to challenge the status quo and equip this generation for lasting success!
